Does this mean 30 is the new 20?

I just read an article about 40 being the new 30. It's located at:

It's about how our health changes our preception on our age. We live longer and we look more towards how long we are lving rather than a, pardon the pun, deadline in which we are excepted to die.

This also changes our preception in life. Life begins at 30 seems to be more fitting noawadys, as we think younger than our parents did at this age. We even look younger than they did at our age. I have to admit, people think I am 25 once they look at me.

Anyhow, it just goes to show you can still be young at 30.

Right now I am waiting on people to call to offer me employment. In a week, if I don't hear anything, I will move back to Montana to regroup and work temporarilly so I have money in my pocket to move wherever. Either way, Iam off to another adventure eventually.

What to look forward to...

I am still waiting on word from Colorado Springs, but I am being pro-active about it--making some calls for references. Plus Evansville is a back up for me now, as my former assignment editor knows someone at a station there.

I was up tonight with a lot of thoughts in my head, so much that I couldn't sleep. I turned on "Inside the Actor's Studio" and was wondering to myself when I am in a better place in my 30's, would I be able to join if I wanted to. (I would go to the writing track if I did.) Then I remembered two famous people who did just that. Gene Hackman and Dustin Goffman joined in their 30's and both have had excellent careers. It just goes to show that you can start later in life to do something different.

My first register script is now off to competition, as I am hoping for a $50,000 Disney Fellowship. This will help me immensely in my dream to be a screenwriter.

For now, I guess I will just have to see where things pan out.

The waiting is the hardest part

I have a lot of resumes out there. A lot of them are near by and I have plans set for the move. Mow I have to wait. Like I said before, I am willing to wait a short time, waiting a long time is tough. But, I have gotten word from two places (Cincinati and Louisville) that they have recieved my tape and resume.

I am not worried. I have an in at a station in Evansville, so don't worry. But Cincinati and Louisville would be nice to work at.

Sometimes Change happens to you

Well, it looks like changes are going to happen sooner than expect. I lost my job due to an unfortunate incident which I really don't want to get into. The only thing you need to know is that the station didn't want me to go, but the coporate owners wanted me to. So, I left on good terms with the station.

But the good thing is that I was already looking. I just stepped it up. I am not very upset this time about losing my job. I think its because everyone thinks I can easily get another job. There is a lot of support here. I think with all the troubles I had finding jobs in the past is gone. But now, its about finding a better paying job, which will hopefully happen soon.

For now, just have to wait.

I just got a new column for about a month on http://www.realitytvworld.com to cover "Hit Me Baby One More Time". (See summaries in the right hand column. Click on "Hit Me Baby One More time summary". The first one is up and is lased with my humorious musings on the contestants. Check it out.

Speaking of writing, I am submitting a script into the Disney fellowship competition. If I am one of 15 picked, I will basically be writing for a year. I will recieve a $25,000 salary, but I can't work a full time job. (Like I would want to.) But the thing is my work would be owned by Disney, so I need to keep some of my scripts to myself for after the competition. I wouldn't know if I got it until winter time, so wish me luck.
